About The LEPC
The Clark County Local Emergency Planning Committee is a state entity created pursuant to the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) Title III, Emergency Planning Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986. The Indiana Emergency Response Commission (IERC) has appointed the Committee, with the primary purpose of implementing the provisions of SARA Title III, but its broader purpose is to enhance environmental protection and public health and safety as they are affected by chemical hazards in Clark County.
